If you love chocolates and pastries,
then this place is like heaven for you! They have a vast amount of selections with deliciously baked goodies. Would recommend them. Just be careful, it’s quite addicting when you start!
Black Forest Pastry Shop did an amazing job with our wedding cake! We ordered a three-tiered carrot cake, and our guests loved it. It was absolutely delicious, and the decoration was beautiful: It can be hard to make a cake with buttercream icing look good, but the ruffled design looked exactly as described. I was also impressed by how easy the ordering process was, and how attentive the bakery was at following up with us to make sure they had all the details correct.
I should also give a shout-out to this bakery’s other pastries–we ordered a bunch of little treats for our rehearsal dinner, and honestly, they were even better than the cake. We’ll definitely be stopping by for an encore the next time we’re in Greenwich!
After my Connecticut-based father casually mentioned a Black Forest Cake, I wanted to surprise him with a cake for his birthday. I found this adorable German bakery during an internet search of Connecticut bakeries. Dan was kind, professional, and able to have a cake ready for pickup in 24 hours. My father was thrilled and said this bakery is the best in the state. FaceTiming me, he ate half the cake in one sitting while muttering the words “moist, spongy layers,” “delicious mousse filling,” and “this is the real deal” between bites.
Thank you for helping me make my father’s birthday special from all the way out in Colorado. I will be sure to visit the bakery in person next time I’m in Connecticut,
